Day 4


Day 4, back at my day job (developing reports in T-SQL and VB.Net), so I've had very limited time to work on Meltdown this evening (something that'll run throughout the rest of the week...).

This evening was categorically level editing; namely creating some new hazards and a rather terrifying little sequence involving an ascended escape from a flooding room...

I've been experimenting heavily this evening with my hazards (obstacles such as fire, steam vents, laser grids and power beams), and I'm really happy to say I'm impressed with the way they look.

The 2 examples below (the Laser Grid and the Power Beam consecutively) were the culmination of some head scratching out how I could spruce up the R&D and Power areas of the Facility.

              

I reckon another 2 sessions of steady dev should allow me to get the level editing finished, then I can jump on to the following:

- Reworking the UI

- Reworking the Menus

- Bug Fixes (Player Collision namely)
